What is the Diva Foundation?

The Diva (Divinely Inspired; Victoriously Anointed) Foundation is a national not-for-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization that was founded by Sheryl Lee Ralph, in 1990, as a memorial to the many friends she lost to HIV/AIDS. The organization focuses on generating resources and coordinating activities to create awareness of and combat against HIV/AIDS. The DIVA Foundation utilizes music and entertainment as a vehicle to inform, educate and erase the stigma attached to this deadly disease.

Goals

To advocate for action, understanding that prevention is as important as a cure - by educating individuals to make informed choices and encouraging one to live a healthy life

To be a catalyst for change in regard to reversing the negative social perception of this disease. HIV/AIDS is not just a Gay disease; it’s a human disease. AIDS affects us all

To help others light the light of compassion as we continue to fight the good fight against HIV/AIDS

To recognize that men, women, and children of all ages and races must work together in a healthy partnership to solve what is quickly becoming a global pandemic with devastating consequences to us all
